I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed for choice, or unsure where to find that right person. When I started my own wedding photographer search back in 2017, I knew what I wanted my images to look like, but didn't fully understand what it meant to find someone who could really capture how the overall day felt, and to find someone we could truly connect with.
Since having my own wedding photography experience being in front of the camera, I've realised just how important it is to choose someone who understands you as couple, who will listen, hear what you're saying and translate that into a real connection that takes away all the awkwardness and uncomfortable moments.

I started photography back in 2013, with my very first business Facebook page and the desire to photograph families. It wasn't until one day, I remember flicking through a magazine, that I saw a wedding photo, from a PROFESSIONAL. I had no idea that being a photographer, let alone someone shooting weddings, could be a full time thing.
I started callouts to photograph people for free and created a bit of a portfolio of work, when a message ended up in my inbox from someone asking if I did wedding photography. I absolutely didn't, but I thought back to the page in that magazine and started to imagine what it was like. So I shot my very first wedding in 2016 for $500, then worked alongside someone who actually knew what they were doing to see how they worked and what it actually meant to be a wedding photographer.
Fast forward to 2025; I've been married myself (back in 2018, so I know what it's like to be on the other side of the camera), I've shot over 150 weddings and I've worked with some of the best in the industry to bring couples' visions of their perfect day to life.
Amy Allen Creative Co isn't just a career choice, it's my passion, it gives me purpose and fills me with so much joy. Every single couple I meet and wedding I get to photograph and another opportunity to make new connections, and capture memories for families to look back on for generations to come. When you're ready to move forward, I’ll send through a booking proposal including a contract, booking form, and invoice for the 30% non-refundable retainer. Once that’s completed, your date is officially locked in.

I'm based in Adelaide in South Australia, but I travel all over the country & beyond!
This is something I hear ALL the time, but it's something I know how to tackle. We will get to know each other really well in the lead up to the day so you feel as comfortable as possible, which will make you comfy in front of the camera. I will also lean into the vibe you have with your partner, not forcing you into anything that doesn't feel like you. So I got you! Another thing that can help is to book an engagement session, this helps you more realistically imagine what it's going to be like on the day.
Loads!! From help you put together the perfect timeline that works and flows, vendor recommendations and overall wedding day advice, to calming nervous energy, reassurance and being a soundboard for you in what can sometimes be in overwhelming process. As well as being your photographer, my job is to help make the whole journey easy and stress-free.
You'll receive roughly between 500-1000 photos, depending on how many hours we shoot and how jam-packed your wedding day is. Short answer - there is no limit!
This is your wedding and if you are uncomfortable with your photos being shared on my social media platforms, I will 100% respect that.
Yep! Once your deposit is paid, you can pay off the balance however you like in the lead up to the due date, 2 weeks before your wedding. Or we can create a payment plan to suit you and your needs. Plus I even accept credit cards!
Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. The deposit is non refundable as this helps to protect my business due to turning away all other booking for your wedding date. If you need to change the date of your wedding, you can do so once with no additional fees. More than once will incur another deposit fee to secure the new date.
